Wayne Reynolds, Director of Atriarc Group, has been formally elected to the Board of Trustees for the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) for 2012-13. A qualified town planner and urban designer, Wayne has established himself as one of the leading young planners in Wales and England, rising through various positions with the RTPI to achieve this senior election.

As a Board member Wayne will be responsible for the management of the RTPI’s affairs. He will also promote the Institutes key objectives: to advance the art and science of Town and Country planning and create better spaces.

Wayne, Director of Atriarc Group (an innovative new planning, design and environmental consultancy), said: “Town and Country Planning plays such an important part in how we live our daily lives, having the opportunity to assist guiding the Institute over the next two years is an immense honour.”

The last 12 months have been especially busy for Wayne. In November he launched Atriarc Group; a planning, design and environmental consultancy based in Carmarthenshire, delivering projects across Wales and the South West. Earlier this year Wayne also secured a position on the Design Commission for Wales (DCfW) as an advocate in practice. The DCfW Advocates in Practice network was formed to stimulate, champion and support high quality design and place making across Wales.
