This months article of the Wales Farmer reviews revisions to Permitted development rights in Wales. Permitted development rights essentially allow home-owners the right to extend their property without the benefit of planning permission. The new regulations are great news for many countryside and rural homeowners who have an original dwelling sited on a large plot of land. For many the new regulations will allow more generous extension limits which can assist overcoming typical 30% volume limits imposed by some councils (notably within rural housing extension planning policy). As an overview article we hope you enjoy however if you have any queries or questions please do not hesitate to contact Atriarc Planning.
